Blogs, Blogs Everywhere!

A series of spinoff blogs by various users were created. My blog was sort of meant to be a "hub" for Free 2 Play twink twinks, and apparently it was seen as hunter oriented and strayed when people saw it as just a hunter blog. While I don't have a problem with this, I dislike having a small community split up into smaller various mini-blogs, so I'd rather be one less bothersome page visit. Either way I feel the blog no longer has much purpose because it was not meant to simply be a hunter blog. If I decide it's worth it to continue I'll reinstate the blog. But for now, it's staying down until I find a purpose for it once again.

tl;dr too many blogs, mine lost it's purpose

Yup, you read this correctly. The infamous F2P Blog made by Thirk, aka iaccidentallytwink from twinkinfo has deleted his hunter and all around f2p information blog due to a bunch of mini-blogs like mine. I do and understand where he is coming from with this post. The community for Free To Play Twinkers is quite small. While some think these blogs will "split up" the community, others like myself believe that if there are is one blog for each class that covers the basics and mainstream parts of said class (mine was made for this). It just depends on how you look at it.

Q: Do you think these blogs will split up the community of F2P Twinks?

A: I do not think this; as long as we keep the blogs down to one per class like we have been or one per topic. Then the community will have only have to visit a one or two blogs for information for their class and for information about professions, gearing and what not. Then the community wouldn't be so split up. Alternatively; everyone who does need information could always post their questions, comments and concerns on Twinkinfo and get answers there.

Q: Do you think Thirk deleting his blog will have an impact on the community?

A: Yes, his blog was the first blog made for this kind of reason behind it. He also had some pretty valuable information up there that will either get re-posted by someone (maybe by me, I don't know), or someone will then make a new hunter blog and mimic what he did with his blog. I hope that he does change his mind about closing his blog and re-opens it.

Q: How do you feel knowing you jumped on the band-wagon (of sorts) for this whole blogging bit?

A: I feel bad for being (possibly) one of the reasons that Thirk closed his blog for the time being. However; he did talk to me before this happened about merging the blogs together so people would have a "one stop shop" type of blog. I never really told him yes or no, I did want to solo project this blog for a bit to see how it went and how far it would go... Alternatively, we could merge blogs so its not as difficult to find information.

Best of luck with your choices Thirk, hope to see you in BG :3
